I thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread like this, sometimes all of us can get so wrapped up in our illnesses that we can forget who we are and all the things about ourselves that make us, us. So in this thread, share ten things about yourself that are completely unrelated to your illness(and if you want to add more than ten things, go for it!) It can be big things or little things, it doesn't matter.

I will start:

1. I love music, I listen to it literally all day every day. I like most genres of music except for things like country.

2. My dream job is to be a lawyer.

3. I'm an extrovert, I genuinely enjoy people's company be it in real life or online. I'm very chatty and I will talk to you about anything and everything.

4. I compose my own music on the piano, I've been playing since I was a young girl.

5. I'm an ethnic Jew.

6. I'm short, I'm only 5'3". It comes in handy though when you can easily avoid badly placed light fixtures and the like and laugh when taller people hit their heads on them!

7. Fall and Spring are my favorite times of year.

8. I'm a total coffee addict. Lol.

9. I'm a Pisces, and when I tell people that they can't believe it most of the time. They almost always think I'm an Aries or Sagittarius, lol.

10. I'm a very charismatic and confident person and I always end up being in a leadership position of some kind where ever I go.

3. I'm a serious introvert who can be very opinionated and analytical.

4. My main interests are psychology and mycology.

5. I can play the bass, guitar and ukulele.

7. I collect rocks and business cards.

8. I'm very observant. Unfortunately that doesn't apply to nonverbal communication.

9. My Cree grandmother and I were really close. We had a special bond that was obvious to everyone.

Yes! They were my happiest times until my cat died. You can save up and come! I wanted to travel to the southern hemisphere but I never got the money/time worked out. I was self employed and never gave myself vacations.

Sorry about your cat! Yeah, vacations are important! Sometimes you just have to take a break. And yes I'm saving up for NY right now! So hopefully my wish will come true one day

Yes!!! You will make it here! In fact if you wanted to stay a bit longer you could probably get some sort of job while you're there. The first time I went to NYC before moving there I worked the week I was there part time to help pay for the trip.

I live in the northeast, not NYC, but not very geographically far. It's about a 3 hour trip by commuter train. I keep wanting to go in but my back is so bad I couldn't really walk once I got there. But yeah, I love NYC. It's the perfect place for me, or at least it was. Now you can't smoke anywhere of course. It just seems different. You could use the live Times Square web cam on your computer - it's a little like a window onto a street corner.

What kind of cat did you have? It is always hard to loose a pet. They can give you so much love and strength. Yeah I hope one day i can go to the usa. It's such a big and fascinating place. I live in the Netherlands and its small and boring when you compare it to the usa. Have you ever been here?

No, I haven't. I think of tulips, windmills and weed lol! Do you have wooden shoes? My cat was a domestic shorthaired silver tabby. She had tiger stripes and a caramel colored belly. And striped whiskers and a long striped tail. And giant ears! She was very small, around 6 pounds (much lighter though as she aged and got sick). She was very talkative and loved me so much! She used to show me she loved me in a million little ways. She'd pet my cheek gently, she'd mark me with her nose, she'd purr like a freight train snuggling her head under my chin, she'd be on my lap all. the. time! She would wait for me to come home and dance around my feet in happiness and joy. She was just an amazing and wonderful little cat. I miss her so much but I think she came to me in a dream a few months ago.

Ahh that sounds so cute.. sounds like a very sweet cat. Do you believe that pets and people who passed away can visit you in your dreams? I think that can be true. I wonder if there is a cat heaven with all the cats that passed away are hanging and playing around. If thats real,, that'd be amazing! and no, i dont have wooden shoes Hahah! But there are actually lots of windmills hehe

Yes, and yes! I think I will see her again when I die, and my best human friend and everyone else I love and miss. Windmills are cool! It would be fun to see the Netherlands.

haha you hate the mall. idk why so many people do. i mean its a way to get out. you have all these shops around you. plus you get exercise if you walk the whole building.

4 I love books but it has to be the right book. I used to try to finish everything one I start but I can't do it anymore. If I can't get into after a few days I put it down. If I can get into it I read obsessively.
