Hello all, I'm currently taking Seroquel as my antipsychotic, along with Ativan and Lexapro for anxiety and Wellbutrin for depression. I think the meds are working pretty good but I still find myself hearing voices throughout the day, which I think causes me to be anxious as well. They seem to go hand in hand. My question is, does anybody use CBD as a way to help alleviate voices and anxiety? All the reviews and articles I've read about CBD used to treat mental health have been positive. Would buying a vape pen and CBD oil be worth it?

I can't speak to CBD's efficacy in such treatments. However...Wellbutrin is norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor. Meaning it can keep more dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is believed to play a role in psychotic symptoms, and APs work by inhibiting dopamine receptors in the brain. So...you may wanna bring that up with a pdoc...

I've not done any research on CBD, but I'd be wary of trying it. I especially wouldn't take up vaping if you don't already do it. There are other delivery methods that would probably be less harmful for you.

Have you looked into therapy techniques for dealing with your voices and anxiety? Also, as Finding mentioned, bupropion/Wellbutrin can exacerbate psychosis, and it also frequently worsens anxiety. In terms of D2 antagonism, seroquel/quetiapine isn't that strong of an AP, so you might find another one of more benefit.

All the best,
