Hello! I will make weekly posts in here about upcoming chats for schizophrenia and psychotic disorder support.
This week we will be covering coping with voices and various symptoms of schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. The starting time is 6pm EST.  To join the chat, there are a few ways: 1. If you are on a desktop or laptop, in the lower right hand corner of the screen will be an arrow. Click this arrow, and click the "Chat Rooms" list. You will find the chat room here. 2. On the top of the Psych Central webpage, second banner down will be a "Chat" option. Click this and then click "Open Chat in New Window." Click the upper left arrow in the window that opens. Click on "Chat Rooms" and you will see the support chat listed. 3. If you are on a mobile device (i.e. Android, Apple, etc), you will see an option as "Mobile Chat" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. A banner for "Chat Rooms" should appear. Click the support chat listed. Look forward to seeing everyone in a couple hours!

Tonight I am hosting the Schizophrenia and Psychosis chat. The subject will be about medications, including various things such as effectiveness and side effects. We can help build a little knowledge that can be useful when talking to a psychiatrist about these. A reminder that discussions here about this subject are NOT a replacement for professional health care, advice, and recommendations from a qualified doctor or health care professional. Hello everyone!
Tonight at 6pm EST will be the Schizophrenia and Psychosis chat. The topic will be about recovering from psychosis following hospitalisation or otherwise; including work, studies, and other aspects of life. I hope we can help give each other tools and strategies we have learned off previous experiences to help each other out. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Chat will be tonight. We will be discussing family, and how they and us work through sz, sza, psychosis, and so on. We will also have 15 minutes at the end to just have open discussion about whatever we choose. See you tonight! |
