Newtus I bet if you were feeling good and not depressed, you'd be happy with your relationship. When you're depressed, everything seems like shite.

@newtus, just a thought, feel free to ignore, but have you ever thought of volunteering? It can be a social activity, it can help you make new friends, you are doing something good, which makes you feel good about yourself, and helps connect you to the outside world. Habitat for Humanity is pretty cool. You don't even really need house building skills. I've helped them on a few projects and I got to do stuff like painting and things. It was really fun.

You could do both? I have a full time job but I volunteer on Monday nights, and I teach a class on Tuesday nights that is kind of volunteering, I don't get paid. It doesn't have to be something that takes a lot of time. And you can build skills to put on your resume! If you don't have a lot of job experience, or you have breaks in between jobs, volunteer work is one way to fill those gaps. It shows employers that you can show up and be responsible to be there, that you can contribute to a team, that you can work well together as a team, that you can accomplish goals, etc. Think about it. You don't have to do it. No one is going to make you. But it might end up being fun and help you with social connections. Whatever you decide, I wish you good luck. HUGS Kit

I couldn't. I deal with enough issues with my energy level from my antipsychotics and antidepressants.

Bad news. Had to put one of our dogs down today. She had a cough and turned out she had nodules on her lungs. She had some medication but it wasn’t helping and she was in pain. She had a seizure and we took her in and had to pass. Poor baby. She was 15 years old and the best dog. So many great memories. She will be missed.

Well hopefully you get a job soon. Sure there is work stress, but work can also be social, and connect you to other people and outside experiences. Plus there's the money. That's always good. I understand about energy levels. Sometimes mine really sucks and I go home on the weekends and just sleep. But it's life right? It's the hand we're dealt. HUGS Kit

Well. I might have thyroid issues too. Idk. I have a lot of things going on. I sleep a lot etc.

I can only work part time. I wouldn't even think to volunteer. That's too much for me.

Oh Cog...I read this after my post on Snap. I’m so so sorry 😞. That is terrible. Horrible to lose a loved one.

Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, plus it feels good. I plan on doing more before I try to get a part time job just to get used to working. I'm seeing my case manager next week and we'll talk about that. I need money really badly too, I can hardly afford where I live, my sister has to help just so I even have my essentials like toothbrushes, paper towels etc. but I just want to make sure I get into a routine and commit to something before I go for the part time job and get some more experience
