When I was on Lithium my levels went toxic, up to 4.6. Ended up in the ICU for a week with kidney failure on dialysis and having seizures

Thanks, I was on a ridiculous dose, 1800 mg , and I was only around 110 lbs or less at the time

1800mg is the regular dose for acute control of mania apparently, just did some research on that. But that's way over the top considering what you weighed.

Yeah,

the thing was my doctor at the time ignored the problems I was having, I was shaking like I had parkinsons, extremely sick, walking around probably looking like I was drunk, falling for no reason, and other stuff etc. Her solution was to keep increasing it lol It went on for a couple weeks and one day I just ended up calling an ambulance and then I don't remember much of the 8 days after that, except a few brief moments of when a seizure started and then some physical therapy afterwards when I got out of the ICU

God what a ****** doctor. Some psychiatrists just make me angry.

Speaking of psychiatrists, I see my psychiatrist on the 5th of July. I haven't seen her in like 10 months. She's a really nice psychiatrist. Caring, empathetic, understanding..

I'm gonna ask her to lower my Invega injection from 150mg to 100mg cuz I have ZERO positive symptoms. When I take THC, I have a few positive symptoms but it doesn't last. I completely go back to normal after a few hours.

I don't know what else to tell her. Maybe that I'm dealing with negative symptoms but I probably just have to learn how to fix that on my own because my psychiatrist I'm sure can't do anything about it.

Other than that, I'm doing good. I'm on 5 meds and they work.

I used to be on just the Invega injection and yeah.. Great that I was only on one med but I was suffering greatly.. It's ok to be on a couple meds which is what I need to function..

I was only on 400mg of Lithium but it gave me symptoms of toxicity already. My body can’t handle high doses. Small doses are enough to help me though, as long as they’re the right meds.
