I have a liberal arts degree. Basically, the idea is for a person to be well-rounded, so you take courses in many different subjects. For example, I majored in French literature, but I also took calculus and physics because I had math and science requirements. That's how it is in the US though. I don't know what it's like in your country.

Hey everyone. How are things going?
So I am recovering from a severe bacterial infection of Haemophilus influenzae. The infection is gone now, but I was in hospital for 4 days on IV antibiotics plus fluids, as well as in a quarantined room. I was severely dehydrated and had lost 20 pounds. I was throwing up and unable to hold food, meds, or water down. If we had waited much longer getting me in the hospital it was possible I may not have made it out alive. Still waiting to see if I had an infection in my bloodstream from this. It's scary looking back. Now I am dealing with Reactive Thrombocytosis as a result of the infection. A temporary, but concerning high levels of platelets in my bloodstream, leaving me at risk of blood clots. I talk to a doctor Friday about that, but if I show signs of clots I will go to A&E immediately. I am just thankful to be alive after all this. It's been a crazy two weeks of acute infection and 4 weeks of ill health. |

Holy moly! Tough ride this summer I’m so glad you’re feeling better. Watch for any signs there’s a problem and get right back there if there is. __________________ Schizoaffective, PTSD, Anxiety

Thank you! I will definitely get my behind back there if I have more problems. I hope I do not but I am kind of on alert after this last 4 weeks, lol. I'm also concerned I had permanent hearing loss. My left ear is not hearing correctly and my ears have already "popped open" a few days ago. Ear canals clear of wax, eardrum intact, and no fluid behind the drum. I did a hearing test online and my hearing range went from a max of 16KHz down to 13KHz. I will keep an ear out (pun intended) for it over the next month and if it does not get better I will contact my doctor. |

Are you tired? I hate it when I'm exhausted and can't sleep.

Yeah, I'm in Texas too. I woke up around 3 am. But I went to bed around 8, so I got around 7 hours.

7 hrs is pretty good. I hadn't been sleeping very well the last few nights in the hospital as it was. It'll probably take a few days to get back to a normal schedule. Hopefully, at least.
