Is working helpful for people disabled with depression? I only want to work 3 hours per week.
I worked part-time for many years and it was helpful. But in the later years, the job turned into a sweatshop and there was workplace bullying. Then I wasn't able to work at all the past several years because of this. I think I would like to get a part-time job again now, 3 hours per week, and my doctor supports it. |

I find work extremely helpful for depression, because it gives my life structure. If you think you can handle it and your doctor agrees, I say go for it.

I'd like to get back to work, too. I'm probably going to start by volunteering but everyone wants references and I've lost touch with all of mine.

Work is helpful for me, the routine, and gives me something constructive to do.
