It’s a dopamine receptor, just one subtype that is the one targeted by every AP albeit mildly by clozapine which seems to have another mechanism. As far as like emotions etc you’d have to ask someone else but i think of D2 as the cause of hallucinations when it’s overstimulated.

Idk I may be wrong but I feel like my septum piercing may be migrating... which means pushing its away out of my nose and healing up where it left. Which takes months or years and I’ve had it for like 3-4 years now. The jewelry feels like it’s lower in my septum. I could’ve sworn it was pierced in the middle of the septum and now it feels like it’s towards the bottom of the septum.

Yeaaaaa I think it’s migrated a bit. Oh well. Hope it doesn’t go through my nose if catch it on something. But if I have to get it repierced, no biggie but that would mean taking it out and letting it heal, which means no nose ring for like a year or so. Ugh.

Vyvanse is good med. Med good is Vyvanse. Focus, wakefulness (A little too much wakefulness??).

Concerta helped me focus better.

I feel like Vyvanse focus is more clear minded like the power of a crystal (I know.. I.. know..) Anyways, it's like a selective clear focus.

Concerta reminds me of a real focus - The focus that I complain about lacking almost every day on here about "DOING THINGS".. But Concerta wasn't as good at keeping me awake - Maybe like 50% as good - Added on to the fact that it doesn't last as long as Vyvanse.

I slept on Adderall and was tempted to abuse it because it wasn't enough - I think the 25% levoamphetamine made my muscles dopamine movement ABLE which made me feel relaxed (I know that can't be a thing) but I had light dream sleep.. I take Vyvanse every morning, go back to sleep (My watch says that I get the most "REM sleep" during this time - Instead of just "deep sleep") and then I wake up.

I know it's just comparison from a dopamine reuptake inhibitor (Concerta) compared to a dopamine releaser and reuptake inhibitor (Vyvanse) but I think it's because I build tolerance to Vyvanse while Concerta is lighter for long term - Although a doctor wanted to switch me to Vyvanse when I was 18 because "It's better for the heart long term".

*The more you know*

In my experience, it's been the D2 receptors being too active. I have had to have a D2 antagonist in order to control my psychosis. But, then again, I am no psychiatrist.

That’s exactly it for most cases of psychosis, so stimulants activate D2 and in some can cause hallucinations while APs block D2 preventing psychosis.

However the mind is tricky and we all know there are exceptions. Your pdoc may know something we don’t.

Have you taken a look at the actual piercing site to see what's what?

Indeed, indeed.

I take Zyprexa and Abilify. The Abilify doesn't generally cut it for psychosis for me. That's why I have Zyprexa. And then the Zyprexa doesn't cut it for the depression for me. That's why I have the Abilify.

I think my mom might have went on the hike without me.

I say that I don't want to be with her friends and her - But I like hiking so what ever I don't really care.

My mom won't admit to what I'm becoming aware of now which is the histrionic thing and tries to hide it but she hosts parties in the house - So I need to get away and be independent.

It's just weird to me that I should have done something about my ex step dad a long time ago - But I was too scared and wasn't sure if standing up to authority is the right thing to do - It always was. 100% of the time.

Yeah, Nuvigil (armodafinil). I've tried Vyvanse before but it didn't do anything for me.

Nuvigil helped me when I was having a lot of sedation from a high dose of Zyprexa. But I don't take Nuvigil anymore. I just remember when I had the Nuvigil it was new on the market so it was ****ing expensive.

Our environment is a medication. Our thoughts are also medication.

But I suppose it's not enough for psychosis idk

But other things help. We medicate each other with support.

It’s possible. Could be my tonsil too. Still inflamed. I’m drinking water.

Sounds almost like cbt, there a triangle of thoughts, emotions and behavior and they all feed into each other.

Yeah, same for me, that is why we added the Trilafon, which has made a massive improvement. Zyprexa works, but I start getting akathesia at 10 mg, so...

1600 bucks a month when I was on it. Crazy.
