Last night it felt like something touched my back while going to sleep. I'm not sure what this is?

do you work overnight or go full nights without sleep? I think severe lack of sleep will definitely mess with your mind and make you feel things that aren't there. I am a firm believer in sleep catch up - but I also think sleep should occur uninterrupted and at night whenever possible.

No, I have a nice place to sleep. I've been struggling with anxiety and have issues with my sleep like waking up every few hours, really vivid dreams, hypnagogic hallucinations.

Maybe there is something on your mind that is bothering you. is there some, for lack of a better term -unfinished business, that might be making you feel guilty for something that isn't really your fault.
for instance - do you feel guilty for not calling your mom or forgetting someone's birthday? - that sort of thing.. Maybe you need to resolve a personal issue for yourself. not trying to embarrass you but, is there a noise disturbance in the area or lack of air circulation in the room? |

I was under some job related stress for awhile before this happened. I didn't think it was bothering me that much and then I started getting anxiety attacks out of the blue. I haven't felt the same since.
