I so did not want to come to work today. I was dressed, ready, everything and I was like, so wanting to call in. But I didn't. I made myself adult and come to work. Now I have been here an hour. I got my work done already. One hour down. 7 hours to go!

Monday is the anniversary of when I was admitted to the psych hospital and also the anniversary of when I last

Possible trigger:

self harmed

so I took that day off of work. I'm going to have bad memories about the hospital and good feelings about making it a year on the other thing so its going to be an emotional day! I plan to take a drive. I plan to watch some British mysteries. My Dad is going to cook some steaks and my Mom is going to make a peach cobbler. It should be a nice day but I think I will be very emotional. I don't want to be emotional at work.

So the illy coffee was just OK, not the answer to my coffee dreams....I’m a latte girl....I really think I need to try nespresso or an equivalent machine. The Starbucks syrups were good though much better than the torani vanilla.

That sounds like a nice way to celebrate a year of recovery. So my coworkers witnessed my hospitalization so I just had a party with four kinds of fruitcake making fun of myself a bit at the one year party. I have to say it was nice to be able to be human around my coworkers because all of us have something that makes us vulnerable.

I did tell one of my coworkers why I was taking the day off, in detail, and she is really supportive of me and said it sounded like a good way to celebrate. Most of my coworkers have no idea that I hallucinate, or that I was in a psych hospital or that my arms are full of scars. I wear long sleeves to work every day summer or winter. Some have asked me about it because it gets hot here, I just say I have a skin condition. I don't feel like that is a lie. It's just not the total truth.

Yeah. I don’t tell everyone now, but they were part of the original experience....

Yeah I play and write music. Mostly guitar but I play other instruments too.

I got everything I needed at family dollar and CVS. TP, bread, strawberry jam, mouthwash, half gallon of milk, my meds, and facial cleanser. I've never tried facial cleanser before except when I was a teenager but I wanted to try it again.

I took piano lessons as a child but I can't play. I played saxophone in the school band growing up but I doubt I could play now.

Still radio silence from the jobs I applied to. I applied to two cafes and to a translation job. I wish it were easier to get jobs. Oh well, perhaps it's not the right thing for me to do right now.

Don’t they spin out the blood and then return it to you or is that plasma? Idk the plasma donors I’ve known just said it was kind of cold......

Yeah, it looks like it is something like that. They hook up both arms and the blood goes into some sort of machine and then comes back into you without the platelets. They said you can get cold from the process. I've only ever given blood before not platelets or plasma so I don't really know what I am getting into.

My understanding is that time is the main issue so bring a book or something else to do......
