how do you stop voices ruining your life

I can get nothing done in my life.....voices rule everything.....id love to be able to ignire them but cant

Is medication supposed to totally stop hallucinations or just get them less? I have always wondered that. My hallucinations have never gone all the way away but they are less than before when I wasn't on an AP. Karl, what are your voices saying? Sometimes you might be able to talk back to them. Tell them to shut up or whatever. But if they are command hallucinations that might not work.

Meds make my voices go completely away. I kind of miss them. But that may not be the case for everyone. Especially if you are trying to balance dosage against the severity of side effects.

Thank you. I've always wondered this but have never asked my Pdoc. I thought the goal was to get rid of them but I also don't want to be a Zombie! The AP dose that I'm on which is Rexulti 4 mg which is the highest dose I think, already effects my affect and my level of lethargy.

They only go away for about a quarter of people, then they’re reduced for a third and non effective fir another third......

They will just stop the harassment if you are compliant with the EH.
