So voices you hear from outside that aren’t real are hallucinations but what about inner voices? I’ve heard them called pseudo hallucinations when they aren’t your voice. So I’m just wondering what people hear...Do you have one inner voice or multiple? On meds I only have the one, off meds it’s multiple.

One inner voice. Its kinda like a constant interrupting thought but not from my own consciousness. Kinda like thought insertion. APs stops it.

I'm pretty sure most of the time the only inner voice I have is mine. Now when I had the demon bothering me I had his voice and my voice and they were both in my head not outside of my head like my voices usually are. Then the Pdoc put me on a 2nd antipsychotic.

I have many thoughts that come and go. Like and they aren’t in my own voice but idk how to explain
They are in different voices but they come and go like thoughts. Idk how to explain. Lots of internal dialogue in my head. __________________ "We're all born to broken people on their most honest day of living"

I always have an internal monologue. Constant 24/7 never stops for a second. Some people don't have this.
The voices I've heard in psychosis came from sources around the room or in other rooms and I could hear them like there was someone really talking. They're usually people that I've never heard - Just made up by my mind. Inner voices were sourced in my head and would sometimes come with a mini-seizure (This was before I was on medication) probably cuz I was in so much stress. Hypnagogic/hypnopompic voices I used to hear a lot.. They happened before falling asleep or after waking up. They'd come with visual hallucinations sometimes as well. I've had auditory hallucinations while overdosing on a psychedelic that isn't known to cause them during the trip. Dissociative voices I wonder are what some people with schizophrenia could be describing - They're like an internal monologue but with voices of people that I've met before - And I don't hear them but it feels like I hear them. Also I've heard voices from my fan - "If you hear music or singing, it may be vague or clear. If you hear voices, typically they sound vague—like a TV playing in another room. ... However, your brain modifies this fan noise so you perceive it as music. This happens because your brain is a pattern recognition machine." |

I also have a inner monologue. Or maybe it's a dialogue. Definitely not three voices though. That'd be too overwhelming.
All I know is that consciousness is the force that can perceive these voices. Thus it comes from a higher plane. I think at least. __________________ "Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!” |

This comment is worth it's weight in gold, an internal monologue is called subvocalization or self-talk, with which some of us are tormented with as we get sort of groomed into internalizing inner talk more as this 'thing' harass and attempts to blackmail you. Within my personnel experiences of this, I do believe that some of us are indeed TI's though you would never know without the internet. |
