Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling with psychosis more lately and my psychiatrist and family think it might be a good idea for me to go on an injection form of the antipsychotic I’m on. Does anyone have experience with antipsychotic injections? Have they been helpful?

Hi, I never have taken antipsychotics by injection but I know they can be helpful for many. I hope someone more knowledgeable about the matter replies.

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are struggling with psychosis, I've had the depot injection a few years back, it maybe O.K as a short term thing though long term you could have quite detrimental effects upon your body weight gain, and no sexual desires, a heavy brick head feeling and be a little on the slow side while receiving the depot over a long period of time, I with in my experience only take it for a few months.

Could I ask what type of things are you experiencing?
