Talked to my doctor today. He read out what the psychiatrist said in her letter basically what she said to me basically that she would probably label me as schizoaffective instead of bipolar 1. So that’s interesting.

But I asked my doc and he said it would be okay having a couple drinks every now and then, so I bought so bourbon and had an old fashioned tonight. Pace and limit myself though.

Otherwise I’m doing good.

"Mindfulness Meditation and reading the Stoics like Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus helped me personally.

In a nutshell I learned two main things. First, that if you learn to focus on the present moment you tend to find that unless you're being chased by an axe murderer this second, it's not that bad. Right now you're probably sitting down with an internet connection and in relative physical comfort. What tends to make you feel like **** is thinking about all the past cringey stuff you did or fear of the future. The meditation helped me realize more than intellectually that there will never be anything but the present moment for us to experience.

Second, that it really is important to practice gratefulness. And one way to do this is to sort of picture yourself on your deathbed and knowing the end is coming. Think of all the regrets you would have in that moment. The fear of the abyss and your imminent undoing. Then open your eyes and realize that you still have at least another day to do something."

I started doing this thing I saw on reddit, it's a community called the X effect, basically you make a 7x7 (50 days) grid on paper and cross off each day with an X for whatever your desired habit you're trying to develop is. So I made a couple, one for no candy, one for no caffeine, one for reading at least an hour a day, and one for using duolingo. It seems very motivating having something physical to look at and check off as the days go by. After I (hopefully) finish with these I'll do more x effect grids for other habits I want to develop

Hopefully everything will go more smoothly today for my friend dropping off my new ejuices. I really pray it will be. I'm out of ejuice here.

I have a list of things I have to consult the SW about but my anxiety is too high for me right now. I wish I could go home.

Refilled my mini hand sanitizer bottle to take with me when I go out. I went grocery shopping today. I was estimating my total would be around $35 but it was only $30 and I had $5 rewards on my account so I used those towards it and my total was only $25.

I got strawberries
a bag of clementines
a 42 oz canister of oats
wheat bread
hamburger buns
Sharp shredded cheese
a 2 pack of cream cheese
a 1/2 gallon of fat free milk
A box of 5 cheese Texas toast
a bag of frozen buffalo cauliflower
a bag of frozen cheesy broccoli

I have to go again tomorrow. Then I'm getting;
Bananas
A bag of fresh spinach
A head of lettuce
2 tomatoes
a dozen of eggs
Sour cream
TGIF cheddar cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers

My psychiatrist appointment went well. She’s relieved I’m doing well after all the time of struggling, said we won’t change anything. Our next visit isn’t for 2 months instead of 1 since I’m doing so well. Our next visit will be video chat instead of over the phone because I guess the governor didn’t renew the Telehealth thing. So now we can only do in person or video chat. So that will be interesting. I’ve never done a video chat with my psychiatrist or therapist before.

ordered a salad with grilled chicken off of door dash today for lunch. It was good. I also got a letter from my sponsored child from Ethiopia and a new picture. She has grown so much and she is so pretty. OMG. She could be a model! And she started school (she's 4 years old).
