My anxiety is bad today, I don’t know why.

Like everything is making me anxious. The fact that I have an inspection tomorrow, health anxiety, anxiety about what the future holds for me etc.

I'm a bit anxious, too. It could be about the job that I got. But I just have to remember I'll be okay.

I’ve been taking vitamin B for a month now. It really helps with anxiety guys. And fish oil works! Trust me I tested them under extreme stress, they work! Meditation helps too and somatic therapy. Exercise is a must as well

Yes I'm going to be taking a long walk tomorrow out in the sun to get some exercise. (I'm likely extremely deficient in vitamin D which probably isn't helping things, so the sun will help). Meditation is great. I have never tried fish oil or vitamin B supplements but I've heard good things about them

Coffee is so weird. Sometimes it makes me euphoric, sometimes it makes me just feel good, sometimes it doesn't affect me at all in any way, and sometimes it makes me anxious. There's no telling which one of them it's gonna be. Today was anxious. Most days are just good or no effect.

My apartment inspection went well!

Now I’m just reading. I stayed up most of the night because I was afraid I wouldn’t wake up in time for the inspection, so I only slept like 2 hours of really light sleep. It’s gonna be nice to go to bed tonight

It’s been pouring rain and there’s thunder. It’s all gloomy outside. I love it

I had a nice visit with the family yesterday. My mother has dementia and sleeps a lot but since she's been on Risperdone, she has been getting up and joining us when my sister and I arrive. (My father mostly focuses on what she can't do.)

My little dog got up around 5 this morning and barked a couple of times. I'm so worried about her disturbing the neighbors. The vet has increased her meds but they don't last overnight--I tried giving them to her at bedtime but they wear off by early morning. Now I give them to her when I get up and in the afternoon which takes care of the daytime but not first thing in the early morning.

Today is laundry day and hopefully I'll get some other chores done. My new med dose has me so lethargic, I've not been doing as much around the house.

Hope everyone here has a peaceful day.

Ceara

I got a cat on Saturday but I couldn't take her home yet because she had to be fixed and I paid for her to be microchipped.

At first they showed me the kittens, which are super cute but I didn't want a kitten, I wanted a cat. So I told that to the lady and she was like, oh I'll have to go get so and so then because I don't know anything about the cats. So another lady showed me around the cats. I was overwhelmed because there were so many of them. She pointed out a couple she thought would be a good fit. One was named Coral and she was like fawn colored and about 1.5 years old. The other one they named Vivian and she was black and white, about 2 years old and 7.1 lbs. I spent about 10 minutes with each cat. Both her sociable but there was also a big husky dog on the other side of the glass so both were a little put off by that. But of the two, Vivian came up to me the most, making wide circles around the room and coming up to me for pets. I had to pick her up when the shelter lady came back into the room and she was purring already. So I chose Vivian. The shelter lady said we could change her name. It was just a name they had given her when she was found. So my Mom and I discussed it and we came up with Helen Rose. Helen after my great grandma and Rose was Esther's middle name.

So today she is at the Animal Hospital getting fixed and microchipped I guess. And they are supposed to call me later (probably this afternoon) so I can go pick her up and then she'll be mine. It was only $20 to adopt her, fix her, and microchip her. The website said all of that would be $40 but they only charged me $20 so whatever....good for me. I made an appointment at Amelia's vet for Helen on the 24th to get her checked out, a check up after her fixing and whatever vaccinations she needs, which looks like all of them according to the notes in the folder they gave me. They basically did a Parvo test on her and a very basic well checkup. So she's going to need a lot of stuff done. I also bought her a cat tree. Amelia has one. Esther never cared for them. But I don't want Amelia and Helen fighting over the cat tree so they will each have one. I'm going to put Helen in the spare room for a few days so she has time to get used to the smells and sounds of the house and feed Amelia on one side of the door and Helen on the other side of the door at the same time so they can get used to each other's scents. I might do a bedding exchange too so they can get used to each other's scents.

I'm worried about Helen right now since she is getting her surgery done. Mama's worried. But I'm sure it will be fine. They spade cats all the time. It's just at a vets that I am not used to.

I'm hoping the introduction between Helen and the other members of the household, the dog and cat will go smoothly. But I'll just have to take it slow and see what happens. She seems really affectionate which is what I wanted. But it is hard to tell in a ten minute visit.

I feel bad about Coral, the cat I didn't adopt. I went online to the website and saw that you can sponsor a shelter animal by paying for them to be fixed and pay for their adoption fees so I think I will do that for her. I sent them an email asking them how to go about doing that so I am waiting for a response. Hopefully I can sponsor her and she can get adopted too.

I will show you guys pictures of Helen once I get some good ones. The big husky dog on the other side of the glass had her a bit spooked so I wasn't able to get a good one of her face. I did get some good action shots. She's beautiful though.
