For fifteen years I have seen many different therapists, but have not taken any of their advice. My Dad says this is the reason why I am still mentally ill. I think it's because I am afraid to take their advice. I think I am afraid because I was misdiagnosed, and that therapists I have seen do not realize the gravity of my condition. I think I have something worse than Schizophrenia. Perhaps Autism. But even people with Autism can listen to advice given to them. So what do I have, then??

I wouldn’t say autism is “worse” than schizophrenia, to be honest. It’s a spectrum and everyone on it has different issues but also different strengths. Many autistic people lead happy, fulfilling lives but it might take them a while to develop that.
As for what your dad says, it’s not really true. Some mental illnesses can be alleviated and/or managed better with therapy but I don’t believe there are many, if any, illnesses that can be eradicated through therapy. I hope you can find someone who can help you. We can’t make diagnoses here, although we can offer advice and support where it’s appropriate. |

Therapy has very little to do with diagnosis, it works on a smaller scale on problems that you have but isn’t all that effective for the symptoms of sz. Generally you need an effective medicine for those symptoms and to take it in a regulated way or be on the injection, ie no missing doses.
