I am feeling pretty bad about myself today. Gonna go make myself a coffee. Hopefully that will help.

Also I wish my former employer was more understanding. I could have probably stayed at that job given the right supports.

At the very least I have therapy tomorrow. Hopefully that will help.

Yeah it's like a huge major decision and decisions are tough to make when you feel crappy.

Have you ever tried a beta blocker for anxiety it blocks the physical symptoms……

The residential treatment place will help with self-harm. But I don't think their goal isn't to improve your general mental state considering that some of the meds you take aren't recognized as legit medications - It's more of a crisis thing.

You can't stop 60mg of Vyvanse without getting bad withdrawal which would last ~2 weeks or more. It feels like you can go without it if you skip in the morning - But by 24-36 hours after not taking, you're wiped out. Especially if on antipsychotics. I was taken off of 60mg and was in bed for 10 days - Maybe you'll be an exception and be OK and just a little sleepy + ADHD symptoms.

It might be good for you though <3 Supportive, kind and tends to all of the other things that you don't get from your current environment, or a break from bad thoughts or have a different perspective, be monitored and safe etc.. That's basically what I needed when I was hospitalized.

Beta blockers decrease physical anxiety.. But the selective adrenal agonists like Intuniv (guanfacine) can help with ADHD. I'm not sure what would be good replacements... Maybe an SSRI and Strattera (NRI) or Effexor (SNRI) which helps with anxiety and ADHD somewhat. There's also Parkinson's meds (Like dopamine agonists) but I don't know much about them. It's only a month or so - I was able to do it. It was difficult though.

Changing your perspective, feeling safe is the main part in this I think.. Stopping the Vyvanse could improve positive symptoms of schizophrenia a little.

It's incredibly difficult with depression - I stopped skiing today and sat in the car because I didn't enjoy it (But also my mom was drunk and annoyed me). But it helped to talk with her and laugh a bit, explain myself and everything is OK.

It doesn't hurt to try going to that place. If it works, you go back on the Vyvanse easily and try something new. The reason that we're on medications is to build coping mechanisms and mental wellbeing to be able to enjoy life in the best way that we can. Schizophrenia can be thought of as different - but it's not widely known that mostly, some of the best treatment (Just as good as/better than antipsychotics) is habit building, support, therapy in the proper way.

Hugs <3

If I can add my opinion on the residential treatment place - I did one when I was 18 and I was there for roughly 5 months or so. I was also probably in the most severe episode of depression of my life, and I needed ECT, and all of that. They basically got me out of there and I was not that great, but I was okay, and that was better than I entered the place feeling.

So, I guess, if you have reasonable expectations about it - it can improve your mental state, for sure. I understand that my experience is probably different than other people's in terms of the time frame I spent there - I mean 5 months is a super long time.

Anyway, yeah, I wish depression and psychosis were easier to treat, but they're really not that easy to treat. Luckily, I'm on a pretty good combination of meds right now, it's just the outside stuff that I need work on - I am planning on joining a DBT group, for example. Just because meeting with people going through similar stuff w. a therapist is helpful to me.

Also, have you tried Abilify? I'm not sure I remember you mentioning that, but it can have great effects for depression, or at least it does for me. That might be worth bringing up if you haven't tried it already. It literally has saved my life on multiple occasions.

I feel so bad for my kitty. The buildings fire alarm went off so I had to leave her in here and go outside. It’s so loud and she was stuck in here for ten minutes with the loud alarm going off scared. The fire department was just clearing smoke out of an apartment on the first floor. I don’t have a carrier for her yet so I couldn’t take her out with me. I’m getting one later this month though. I just feel bad for her. She was probably so scared. She’s hanging out with me now.

I think I'm going to learn how to bake homemade bread. Last time I went to the grocery store they barely had any bread. It might be a good idea to learn how to bake it in case there's times I can't find it. It would be fun to learn anyway and I've wanted to for a long time.
