Been distracting myself with music and Netflix to keep myself from stressing/ruminating on anxiety over tomorrows inspection. It will be fine. It always is. Maybe since they’re doing them more frequently from now on it will become something I just adjust to over time once it feels like a regular thing. It won’t be a looming every 6 month event anymore. Will happen every single month regularly. It will be like exposure therapy or something.

Yes, he has helped me. It's just hard when I make a reduction to stick to the reduction. That is the most difficult part because I'll feel anxious again and want to take the full dose again of Klonopin. It's almost like a loop.

You'll be good! I know I can say don't worry about it but I also know it's hard for you.

Yeah it’s hard to change that. I used to be on it 2 times a day every day a long time ago, many years ago. Now it’s a prescription I only have to get refills on like once or twice a year because that’s how long a bottle of 30 pills lasts me since I rarely take it anymore. It’s just nice to have it in case of emergency but it’s something where self discipline helps a lot, it’s hard though when you have a prescription available you can take to ease the anxiety, it becomes habit. It’s weird because I have like no self discipline in many areas of my life but in this particular area I’ve been very strict with myself and now it’s easy, my automatic instinct is to not use it when anxiety and panic hits it’s to use tons of coping skills and stuff like that.

I hope you’re able to come off it someday if that’s what you want, everyone is different of course

Thanks, yeah I really do want to get off of it, it seems like it zaps my energy especially late in the day. I know it's all mental. I guess I get some physical symptoms of anxiety too. But there have been times (more often than not) that I haven't needed the Klonopin in the past. So I'm going to try to reduce it tomorrow.

That's great, I used to have a workbook, or I borrowed it from the library or something, called the Anxiety and Phobia workbook, I found it helpful

You know what also helps me when I'm having panic, is looking at an object and describing it in every detail. Also other grounding exercises. I was having one panic attack after another after another for up to 6 hours when they took me off lorazapam. Later they put me on a whole bunch of sedating meds. I ended up in a mixed episode for about 6 months. Didn't realize it at the time. They gave me ambian and the panic attacks started again. I went to the hospital. It had been 7 yrs without needing to be hospitalized. They put me on klonipin and I'm much better. But yeah panic attacks are awful!

Yeah, the current workbook I have is like the sequel to that one, it's more about alternative therapies to anxiety, I definitely have to do both the main therapies for it and the alternative therapies for it. Sometimes I just get so bored though. I think I need a job but I don't think I can handle a job. I often see the worst in everything as well. It's hard to practice gratitude.

Walks through prospect park sound wonderful.

Could you watch some nature documentaries to maybe imagine you’re there? I know it’s definitely not the same but maybe now since you’re not able to go there it might be relaxing to lay back and watch some nature documentaries

I find art really helps calm me down, I drew for over an hour tonight and it really put me in like a calm meditative zone

Going to yoga class tomorrow, looking forward to it a lot, I didn't really get any physical activity in today because I waited around all day for the inspection, which didn't happen. But I'm less nervous today in general

Watched some more of the new Wednesday series on Netflix, Almost finished with the first season. Enjoying it a lot. I think Jenna Ortega is doing a great job playing Wednesday Addams

Have had the Great British Baking show on a lot in the bakground today, just because it's calming
