Went to bed around 11 and woke up at 3am, couldn't get back to sleep. It's 5:30am so I guess I'm up for the day. Gonna get some laundry done, I just chaged my sheets so I need to wash the old ones.

Yesterday was the holiday lunch here in the building, it was good. Christmas Eve I'm going to my friends house and we're gonna play some Digimon TCG and some tabletop rpg boardgames, then on Christmas day my sister and niece are coming over

I ended up falling back asleep thankfully after I did laundry. I really needed it. I eventually woke up at 9:30am. I got a surge protector for my Christmas tree which I’ve needed, so I have it lit up now.

Not much going on today. Just relaxing, yesterday in therapy kind of brought up some stuff that kind of gave me a hard time sleeping last night, I was kind of going over and reliving the past in my head till I finally fell asleep. Couldn’t manage to distract myself.

I’m working on coping skills though, we talked about grounding techniques. One thing I do is hold a ziplock bag filled with ice cubes in my hand or on my neck and that helps me when I’m panicking or dissociating.

Exercise helps too but I can’t seem to motivate myself to do it the past couple days. So I’m trying to focus on the digimon anime because that is lighthearted and makes me happy. I might draw or color or something. Work on improving my drawing, learning through art tutorials. Or play some ukulele. Just positive mindful distractions.

I'm so agitated from lowering the olanzepine. Idk what the lamotrigine is doing. I have to take the pregabalin in the day (Away from sleep time) cuz I find it so hard to wake up, still.

I'm considering seeing about coming off most of my meds and just staying on abilify but switching it back to the injection. I don't know if that's a good idea though, I've been on these meds so long. I just want to simplify things and make it easier for me than taking all these pills everyday. That's a lot of changes to make, I'm not sure if now is the best time to make a bunch of changes, I don't know though

I'm on:
1200mg trileptal (moodstabilizer)
15mg abilify (AP)
400mg thorazine (AP)
200mg zoloft (AD)

which doesn't include the omeprazole which I take for GERD, metformin to help lose weight from the APs, and my PRN klonopin

I meditated today for 40 minutes, that's good. It helps me feel more centered and calmer, also spent some time reading and playing with the cats

I feel like I’m starting a new chapter in my life. I know there will be ups and downs but I feel like starting to process things and move forward will result in a lot of personal growth.

Hope you you feel better soon I hate going through med changes, it can be so difficult getting through the initial side effects; hopefully it works out for the best though

Someone should make a new roll call.

Blue bird - I think a lot of ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ with a lot of things including meds. I know it sucks but if it’s working it’s not a bad thing. I know before you’ve come off some stuff and then couldn’t sleep so idk.
