Lemon filled is so good. I haven’t had one in a long time. Also jam is great too.

I also got a lot of fresh fruits and veggies (like a whole butternut squash) , potatoes, lettuce, salad, apples, a whole family pack of beef chuck shoulder steak. Not sure what I’m gonna do with the steak yet not sure how to cook it but I’ll find a recipe and make something out of it. And there’s lots of other stuff I got too which is really helpful to get me through the rest of the month.

Also got some deli sliced plant based turkey , so it’s like vegan. I’m gonna try making sandwiches with it.

Got a seafood sub

And butter chicken meatballs with basmati rice

Blood pressure has been low which is weird as she has high blood pressure normally. CT and MRI were good (since she fell and hit her head on the tile because she was dizzy). Doctors are worried about her kidney function. Hopefully they get it figured out and she can come home soon. I took yesterday off of work and went and visited her at the hospital twice. And had my therapy appointment.

Blue_Bird, you scored at the food pantry! I volunteer once a month at our Church for the food distribution. We definitely don't give away that kind of stuff. More like non-perishables. Beans, rice, spaghetti, cereal, almond milk, soups, crackers, cookies, juice, canned fruits and vegetables, pancake mixes, syrup, etc.

Good news - I feel better about eating and following hunger cues more.

Bad news - I’m working in the office and underestimated how hungry I would be so I ran out of food at 1115am and now I’m hungry and don’t want to spend money at the cafeteria.

I think I’ll have to cave and have a proper salad from the cafeteria.

Well I got the food pantry and the mandatory meeting in my building out of the way. Now waiting on the call from Foodstamps for my recertification interview. It’s been a stressful day. Glad to be seeing my therapist later at 4 for our appointment. Will end the day on a nice note

Can you buy lunch today then start making bigger meals for next time you’re in the office?

They get a lot of stuff from Hannaford.

That’s awesome that you volunteer at your church food distribution. It’s so needed, especially with grocery prices being as high as they are

I ended up caving and getting a lunch from the cafeteria. They have a salad bar so I made a salad with:

Romaine lettuce
Loooots of chicken
Onions
Cucumber
Cherry tomatoes
Jalapeños
Cheese
Caesar dressing

Roll Call 198

Not the prettiest picture but delicious. I’m glad I went. Someone gave me a 20% off coupon so it was like $9. (I grabbed a loooot of chicken lol).

Damn. I didn’t realize I had my phone on do not disturb until I got a message while I was waiting for the phone call from Foodstamps saying I missed our phone appointment. So I immediately called a second after that message was given to me and I left a message asking to reschedule. I really hope I don’t lose my Foodstamps.

I'm sorry. I'm just frustrated with myself.

Anyway, I have an appointment with my therapist in an hour. Excited to tell her about volunteering with that program at PetSmart

Hugs BB!

The nicotine, caffeine and dex kick in, and will lie down, listen to a podcast. I'm by the beach, sun coming out slowly, tide coming in.

I'm thinking about moving into a 100% independent apartment through section 8 in maybe a year from now. I'm just getting real tired of all the mandatory meetings and stuff like that here in supportive housing. I think I can do fine on my own now so yeah I'm gonna apply in maybe a year for a regular section 8 apartment.

My appointment with my therapist went really well. She was so happy to hear I got the volunteer position. She knows the people who run it. I also let her know I started the career readiness workshop and am getting more volunteer experience so I can then add it to my resume and get a part time job somewhere. Told her my goal is by September to be back in college part time, working part time, and still volunteering with the cat adoption organization

She said I’ve been things have been constantly going up/good for me for the past 9 or 10 months. Things have just gotten better and better with regards to my mental health. I’ve been exercising, doing better with eating/overcame eating disorder mostly, being more active and socializing, now volunteering and starting the career readiness workshop, finally dealt with trauma stuff etc taking steps to start working , going back to college.

It’s been on a steady incline

Anyway, I’m proud of myself. Think I’ve come a long way

I meditated outside for 10 minutes. There were so many distractions, that it felt like 5 seconds. Humming birds, wind, people on boats, waves, squirrels, etc. But it's good.

I got Five Guys fries and had them topped with gravy, grated mozzarella cheese, sriracha, and pickled jalapeños. Sort of a half assed poutine.

I feel good about my food today. I get my tell my doctor tomorrow I’m feeling quite well. Which is great.

I feel bad I was so panicked a couple weeks ago with the rash on my face. My medication has been well since I’ve gone back on. I feel I wasted a bunch of peoples time. Including having to see the psychiatrist next Wednesday.

Anyway, probably going to make myself a drink and watch Picard.

Police raid in the apartment below me, they set off smoke bombs which set off the fire alarm so we all had to come downstairs now around 6am and wait while the police took care of things
