I’m good! Been working, and going to the gym a lot.

I started back up at the gym on May 1st and I found out yesterday the gym I go to is closing on June 28th and it’s a chain gym and they say that I can go to another location for my membership but it’s too far away so I cancelled my membership for after June 28th and I’ll find another gym. There’s a YMCA close by I’ll probably go there.

I went out for dinner tonight and had fun.

Going to a CFL football game tomorrow night with my sister. Supposed to be hot and humid but thankfully no rain. I’m excited.

I have a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday coming up. Then the week after I have a work event where we’re going to this place to play some kind of games and then go for a three hour lunch. Should be fun.

YMCAs are good, there’s one by me I used to go to , I had a free membership from being a student at my community college which was nice. I hope you have fun at your football game and the work event and hope your doctors appointment goes well

My friend cancelled on me so never mind for those plans

Monday morning I get the bloodwork done. I’m so terrified that it will be diabetes. I mean I want to know if that’s what going on, it’s better to know than not be aware of it. But still it scares
me. I know many people are able to manage it, it just seems scary to me. And I can’t think of anything else it can be. Every time I go longer than three hours without eating I get headaches, start getting very very shaky then start puking.

I don’t know if I’m remembering right but didn’t you have this issue last year when you were restricting? It wasn’t diabetes then so it might just be low blood sugar anyway I hope that’s all it is , good luck at your appointment. Sorry your friend canceled…

I’m not restricting though, I’m eating very regularly, I haven’t restricted in well over a year. So I don’t know why it’s doing this. It seems pretty ridiculous that my body reacts from not eating for 3 hours by getting headaches, shaking and throwing up all over. I’m eating very regularly. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I have not even gone anywhere near restricting in such a long time.

I never did get tested for diabetes back then. I said I was gonna but I never actually got the test. I kept pushing it off for the past year because I was scared of what the results could ve

Maybe my body just over reacts to regular low blood sugar or something. I don’t know; but it’s a terrifying feeling when it happens

Thanks, and who knows it could be a medication side effect too. I have no clue. I’ll find out though.

Regardless of whether I have diabetes or prediabetes or just regular low blood sugar or whatever, I still will need to improve my diet. Like I consume way too much sugar and my cholesterol has been high over the past couple years which isn’t good. Maybe my body would do better with 5 or 6 small “meals” a day instead of 3 regular sized meals spaced way out. I seem to do okay when I’m eating regularly every 2-3 hours. It’s when it gets past that point that I start having symptoms.

It’s just hard to eat healthy when food (especially healthy food) is so expensive. But I’ll work on it

My dietician recommends to me to eat more often. Like breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. I’ve been eating more snacks and I don’t find myself ravenous or weak anymore. Maybe you just need to eat more snacks?

What does a typical meal look like? I mean you’re not purposely restricting but it’s easy to fall into small ‘healthy’ meals that are lacking carbs and protein.

Wouldn’t hurt to think about and try something different.

I hope your blood tests work out fine. Even if you have diabetes it’s very manageable I hear. You’ll be fine no matter what happens! I believe in you.

Thank you! Yes I’m wondering also if I’m just not eating properly even though I feel I’m eating regularly. I might not be eating enough of the food groups like you said protein and carbs etc

Usually my meals are like very simple single type of food, like I’ll have some pasta with sauce or oatmeal and a banana, or some chicken nuggets. Yeah not the best. I need to work on getting more balanced with the food groups and I probably do need to eat snacks because currently I only eat 3 meals a day and no snacks. So I’m guessing going 4-5 hours between meals isn’t great. I mean maybe some people can but clearly I need to eat more often if I’m having this issue.

I do notice on days I make an effort to eat two snacks between my three meals I tend to not have the issue of the shakiness and throwing up.
Regardless it will be good to have the diabetes ruled out since it’s been a couple years since I’ve had blood work done and I want to be 100% sure it’s not it since it does run pretty rampantly through one side of my family, and the APs and their metabolic effects.

I’m also sure eating lots of highly sugary stuff probably makes me have blood sugar drops/lows soon after, because that’s what sugar does. But yeah I’ll work on it. Another part of the problem is I’m lazy with meal prepping. I tend to not feel like cooking most of the time, so sometimes when I’m my blood sugar feels low I don’t have anything on hand that I can immediately eat to relieve it , so it just gets worse. I need to start stocking up on like snacks and cheese, veggies and hummus and stuff like that
