So we have bobcats, fisher cats, coyotes, bears, moose, etc etc. and since they keep building they're coming around more frequently and we've decided to let the kittens out, but on harnesses. Here's Saco looking like a superhero. He loves it.

Had fun at the CFL game last night with my sister. Home team lost but it was fun!

I actually bought tickets for another game near the end of June.

I have June 19th to June 23rd off from work so one day we’re going to the fair that’s in town, another day going to the zoo, 22nd going to the football game, 24th I have a massage, and 25th going to a soccer match.

Going to have fun!

Here’s a view from our seats last night. 4th row at the 25 yard line.

I’m trying to live a more minimalistic lifestyle, so like less materialistic stuff and focusing more on the stuff and people that means a lot to me. Im also doing digital minimalism. So I got rid of a bunch of apps I barely use or don’t use to clear up the clutter on my phone. I’ve been starting to work on getting rid of old stuff I don’t use or donate. Like there’s a lot of stuff around that I hang on to “just in case” but the reality is whatever it may be chances are it’s been sitting in my closet or somewhere untouched for a year or more and I won’t miss it if I were to let it go. Part of minimalism is focusing more on experiences too, so aiming to have more experiences and less focus on owning things and consumerism. And when I do buy things to buy what I need and only things I can find a place for in my house, and something that will legitimately add value to my life, not something to buy just for the dopamine and endorphin rush or getting something new and buy quality versions of things instead of accumulating a lot of crap that’s just gonna wear out fast or break soon.

I need to find a part time job. I put in applications to so many places but only heard back and got an interview from Burger King and didn’t get the position. There has to be somewhere that will take me

Blue_Bird , you should design and print out some resumes to give potential employers. List all your volunteer stuff as if it were employment, and your university accomplishments. You can say you have a disability on it, too. That might actually help you. Look online at people's resumes to get design ideas. You can write a short autobiographical paragraph at the bottom of the resume. Hugs.

I would not put the disability because people are so biased against sz. I mean that’s going to be a deal breaker for most people. Physical disability absolutely would put but not mental. Other than that great advice. Come up with some other reason for not working and have it as a reason. I was caretaking my dying mom or something.

Well I’m in a program that helped me design a resume and it has volunteer stuff in it. I don’t know about disclosing a disability though, especially because most employers aren’t understanding of that and some could even use it against a person even if that’s not legal

I'd still put down that I have a disability, even if I didn't specify what it is. I agree that saying you have been taking care of a dying family member is a good alternative. I used to hire people when I was running my business, no one ever said they were disabled, but I would have respected their honesty if they had.

My mom did that for a while, she really liked it, and got huge discounts on movies. She'd bring me to them and we'd have a great time... although she never invited me back when I picked a trash movie we both disliked hahaha This is a great job to inquiry, BB!
