I often wondered, since I have schizophrenia, if my parents who are both long since deceased had some kind of mental illness too.
When I think about it, my dad was a strange guy. He had all kinds of weird beliefs. He believed in psychic ability and was paranoid as hell. My mom was weird too. She thought she could see ghosts. I'm suspecting that my both dad and mom had schizophrenia or bipolar. I guess, in the end, I shouldn't be too surprised that I developed schizophrenia. Does anyone else have a family history of schizophrenia too? |
