Hi ppl,

I watched Stephen Fry's documentary on bipolarity
and something drew my attention, but I've never discussed it with anybody...

In short, a guy on the documentary feels like a veil is being lifted when he gets mania and psychosis and he gets a real glance at the reality of existence, some kind of secret reality or parallel reality, in his own words.

Now, must admit I have also felt that way, but I must also add that the illness has seriously b_u_llshitted me in several occasions and even put my life in danger.

So, this is the question: are we just ill or there is a hint of truth in our illness, something more profound that can't be easily explained but describes some sort of secret universe around us...

Thanks for your input.
