happy Wednesday (it’s now 1:37am here at the moment) up because I can’t sleep since I overslept so much yesterday, I need to buy an actual annoyingly loud physical alarm clock and set it across my room to force myself up out of bed in the mornings, it’s hard to get up with being on the Thorazine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

I'm off 10mg of olanzepine! Woo!
Edit: Oh wait I guess I did take a 5mg PRN few days ago - It's all good, still.. I will meditate for 10 minutes (Using that timer app), and then try to fall asleep.. |

Ahhhh I feel so nervous about my interview today. It’s only my 2nd ever job interview in my life. I’m pretty sure my first one like 5 months ago with Burger King I didn’t get it because I was really not confident during the interview and didn’t sell myself at all really. I am hoping this one goes better. I wrote out some key points about myself/my good key qualities that I want to remember to make that I think will make me a good candidate and I wrote out 3 questions for the ending of the interview when they ask if I have any questions for them. I’m also gonna emphasize all my volunteer work experience and what I did in the temp job I was at at one point (it was in a factory scanning and processing orders for shipment). Being very detail oriented, organized, good with people, hard working
(It’s a phone interview, so I can look at my questions etc while I’m talking to remind myself ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Just got back from my volunteer shift. It went well. diced 20 large onions for the lasagne they’re making for their lunch shift then sliced sandwich bread, prepared like 40 sandwiches then sliced like 7 large tomatoes and packaged them in styrafoam boxes with a bag of chips, pickles, and onions.
I’m tired. But it felt good to do something. I’m glad I went. Now I’m just trying to unwind for like an hour before my job interview call comes in While I walked to my volunteer shift I caught a bunch of Pokémon on Pokémon Go lol it’s really motivating me to get out and walk a lot. Also have a massive headache right now so I’m gonna eat then take some i ibuprofen and hope it goes away Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

It’s done. The guy was super friendly, he said that I’d hear back in a day or 2 if I got it. He asked how I think I did and I said I think I did good and that I’m a good fit for this. He said I was really in the zone and did great lol
The job would be cashier work. He also said I am already ahead of the game because I actually answered the phone unlike a lot of people. I told him about all my volunteer experience and that my schedule is flexible and that the only day I can’t work is on Tuesdays. He told me about his cats lol cause I mentioned volunteering at the Petsmart in the same plaza. I told them about my temp job at the factory in Kentucky scanning and processing orders I did for awhile __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

. He said that’s really good experience to have and that scanning items as a cashier there is very simple so it wouldn’t be a difficult job. He said it’s good I told him I can’t do Tuesdays but that I can do any other time because he had someone he hired who started working there last week who told him their schedule was open completely and flexible and they then asked for 2 days off every week after the fact once they were already hired. So he said he was glad I mentioned upfront that Tuesdays don’t work for me cause now he knows that and can remember that.

I’m stuck on Thorazine but I don’t know how to combat the tiredness , I have a really hard time waking up in the mornings, like on Tuesday I slept through my 7 alarms for my 9am volunteer shift and slept till 12:30pm. Any tips would be appreciated. I hope this doesn’t make working difficult if I get the job

Just one Vyvanse used to wake me up by ~10-10:30am, but now I sleep in until 12pm-1pm. When I have work days though? I take all stims at 7am, and somehow make it to work by 9am (Sometimes late - But it's bad to be late, although they said that I can "Come in by 10am, that's still okay"). Antipsychotics are major tranquilizers! Risperidone or Abilify made me sleep.. 16-18 hours a day.. I sought out stimulants.. I couldn't take it... Maybe switching to a different antipsychotic/sleep med could help. But you seem to be pretty stable, we're proud of you - Really (: |

Good news about this job is it seems my shift is evening, so 4pm to 9pm. So I can sleep in during the day so maybe it won’t be a problem. And thank you! Thank you! I’m going to be buying an outfit this weekend for my first day, then once I know what their uniform dress code is I can buy whatever that is. My sister is letting me take some cash out for it. I am putting the money from what I buy back into my savings though from my first paycheck. It will only be like $50 for an outfit. They pay $14.20 an hour which is pretty good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Waiting on my background check to come in, they said they’ll email it to me once they get it back. Then they’ll email me the orientation paperwork that I can read and whatever and have finished before my first day next Wednesday.

Make sure you do this though ticket to work so you don’t lose benefits. Start slow if possible, how many hours a week are you working? Spend the money on things you love to keep your mood boosted so you can work more. Get enough sleep. Try not to keep work anxiety when you’re home, ie find a way to disconnect or it will be in your dreams.

Thank you, those are great tips. My program manager told me you can make a certain amount of money per month without losing SSI as long as you’re reporting it to them. You’re technically allowed to work part time as long as you don’t make above a certain amount. Once you make more than you are allowed to per month then they start taking away some of your benefits. I’m not sure how many hours per week yet. I know my shifts will be 5 hours Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi
