I think it’s important to realize that nobody is going to be an expert on day one and no one expects you to be. Don’t worry about not being 100% right away. The first few times running people through will be intimidating but you’ll be a pro in no time.

And most bad customers aren’t personally mad at you. Most people get mad because they’re mad about something else. Or they’re just jerks. Them getting angry is a reflection on their **** personality not about you doing a bad job. Don’t let them get to you. If someone gives you **** kill them with kindness and laugh at them later in the break room.

Just know that ‘the customer is always right’ is ********. Customer is wrong like 90% of the time haha.

I think it’s important to like what you do. At least enough to have fun. If you’re not having at least a bit of fun you’re going to be stressed and have the work anxiety when you’re not there.

Like SP said - try not to get the anxiety. Find things away from work to decompress.

So work smart - not hard! There’s a line between being a good worker and being a pushover. Don’t let anyone take advantage of you. Don’t give your life for a job that’ll replace you before you’re buried in the ground.

Thank you cogladaid that’s wonderful advice as well! I’m gonna try to not stress too much about it. I know I’ll be a little nervous at first but it’s just a repetitive thing so I’m sure I’ll get good at it, used to doing it pretty fast

I’m really excited. I’m gonna call social security tomorrow to sign up for the ticket to work program so I don’t lose benefits

I’m hoping/my goal is to do this job well and do this 9 month ticket to work thing then basically switch to full time if possible and move into an independent apartment

Not to be negative but a lot of retail jobs don’t have a full time option. This is why going back to school is so important.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get into the ticket to work program? I don’t want to lose my benefits because if I do I won’t have a place to live

Thankfully I have violin which is a fun hobby that reduces my anxiety and my violin lessons. And I have my bf and we play games and watch stuff together. So those are good ways to disconnect from stress.

I’ll probably put a lot of my paychecks into savings but I’ll set aside a certain amount for fun stuff too like taking myself out to cafes or bookstores

I had some time to clear up some things, write stuff down, organize. I got on the phone, and got my VISA activated. Why don't I just work from home (For a bank?) - That'd be pretty cool..

But really, I just want a way to make hella money, so my mom doesn't have to work... She works her *** off, every day. I gave her a hug (Cuz she had a bad day, I said "You're a good hotel manager..")..

I put the 3 subscriptions that I have (YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Prime) onto the VISA.. And hopefully I can use the "Tap to pay" method for purchases..

I was really into crypto... But now they're implementing "Central Bank Digital Currencies" (Which makes me feel hopeless - Cuz I want the government power/financial system DECENTRALIZED).. Power to the people..

I'll look at my goals/TODO lists etc.. I feel sleepy.. I have work tomorrow. I don't have the energy for my job anymore - It's so much the same.. Boring. I can't stand how much work I have to do (Within 3 days - Cuz it's hard to wake up early for 4 days in a row, I said I couldn't do it - Which means more work within 3 days), and the struggle to be social. They basically gave up on trying to talk to me (Which was what I wanted in the first place - But now it seems wrong.. and jinxed).

I get less pay for doing faster work (Cuz I want to go home earlier). But I get disability money - But I really don't care. We're interdimensional beings.

I'd meditate and all...

I just feel such lack of dopamine, like antipsychotic dystonia of the mind - Twisting and unfocused. Mild akathisia and restlessness. Moderate mental anguish.

It helped. But I could only meditate for 5 minutes, too sedated.

I talked to JunkDNA, and she shared Radiohead songs.

I explained.. How I need millions of more reincarnations, and I'm okay with that..

Except that I've got a glimpse of divine insight past few year (More than most) - Maybe cuz I've had so much time to think, idk.

But this one life? It happens to all, then we go back into the abyss. Hopefully it's a good place. But I don't care about pain anymore. Maybe it's my nihilism.

I called social security and I can’t do the ticket to work program because I already have a job. But they are referring me to a work incentive program that can help me understand how much I can make per month and how that affects my benefits.

Just got the email saying congratulations from Burlington for passing my background check and becoming a part of the team. They’re gonna send me an email with my Workday login info, my first day is Wednesday from 4-9pm and it will basically be a day of orientation
