I got offered a key position as a talent acquisition team person. So I’ll be running orientation for people eventually and even doing interviews for people I’ll still be doing cashiering too

One of the managers called me into his office today to talk. I was afraid I was getting fired or something but he said since he’s been here he’s been really pleased with my work and wanted to offer me that additional position , so I’m really thrilled

So according to my sleep tracker I’ve had 18 hours of sleep over the past 7 nights. I got sent home from IOP early today and they didn’t even want to do that because they weren’t sure if I should be driving. They told me not to come in tomorrow if I don’t sleep. I’m at that other patients place now.

Thank you! I was not expecting to be promoted , that is the furthest thing from anything I’d ever imagine lol I was expecting to be fired due to feeling like I’m inadequate at my job. So it was a huge surprise and a great surprise.

I start training on the 24th I think. They said they’ll train me how to do everything. 12 hours a week every week will be spent doing that job as a talent acquisition team member conducting interviews, choosing people to pass on to the hiring manager that I think should be hired and helping do orientation for new employees. Aside from that I’ll still be cashiering whenever I have time.

I have tomorrow off as far as I know. Will be nice to sleep in some. And I need to go to the pharmacy to pick up my meds that have been sitting there for a week and I need to pick up my library request that’s been sitting there for days. I’m not scheduled to work again until Sunday which is nice because I just worked 4 days in a row. Gonna spend my free time practicing violin and catching up on chores, plus spending time with my bf.

I get paid Thursday night/early Friday morning.

I slept till 1:30pm! I have today off though so it’s fine. It felt good. My paycheck is over double what I thought I’td be because I miscalculated it. So that’s nice. I want to go buy clothes at work with my employee discount but I don’t feel like going on my days off so I will shop after I clock out whenever my next shift is.

I'm feeling more and more like going back home. It's not necessarily possible because my friend lives there half the time. But I'd like to be on my own with a cat or two.

Cats are great companions does the nursing home every have people bring in therapy dogs or cats to visit? Some places do that for patients

I’m doing well. I’m sleeping much better, got about four hours last night, in a different environment and it feels so good to be in a substance free apartment but still have some freedom for once. I got discharged from IOP today and return to individual therapy tomorrow. I have to go back home by Monday evening to meet up with my case manager. Maybe we’ll discuss alternative living options.

I asked for my sisters recommendation for shoes for working all day on your feet and she recommended either Clark’s or Klogs. So I’m ordering a pair of Clark’s tonight. Right now I have addidas running shoes and every day after work my feet hurt extremely badly and I have blisters

They used to bring in visitors with dogs for residents to pet. They haven't in a few years though. There used to be a cat outside that would approach us smokers. We would pet him/her when s/he would explore our little groups. I haven't seen the cat around though for a long time.

I've had Clarks, they are very comfortable. Now I always get Ryka sneakers, they're made well for my feet, a narrow heel, I buy a half size up so there's room for my toes. They're not perfect, I would get blisters if I wore them for hours and hours, but they are better engineered than any other shoes except maybe my health sandals. I hope you'll like them!

I still have my anxiety about stairs though, if I want to move back. But my friend would help me with that. What I have here would be all I'd need to move back in. Except for my jewelry, I miss that extremely much. I could hopefully get it out of storage. I'll see, if I progress with this plan. I'm doing better here than I did when I was alone, but all the restrictions are wearing me down.

I ended up deciding on dansko clogs after reading reviews by podiatrists and people who work all day on their feet as nurses, retail, and waitressing etc. these have really good reviews. They’re more expensive than the ones I was thinking about getting but I think it would be a good investment to not be in so much back and foot pain after every shift

Here’s a pic
