I understand that only through assessment from a qualified doctor could you obtain a diagnosis.

numbfox: but after my dr knows that I make search on illness on the net he didn't want to say to me what illness I suffer from ,he some times say that I have some doubts or that I'm a doubts person and that's way I take this medication. I want to know now ,did I suffer from schizophrenia or I'm Psychosis? Risperdal is a drug that is used to treat schizophrenia and psychosis however the mere fact that you've been given it doesn't mean that you have schizophrenia or psychosis. This is because many drugs are used "off-label" -- meaning they're used for far more than they were initially approved for. In the case of antipsychotic drugs like Risperdal, they are increasingly being used for disorders such as anxiety, depression, and compulsiveness to name but a few. The important thing to understand is that a diagnosis cannot be made as based on the drugs you may have been given. Even though your doctor has given you an antipsychotic drug, he may have prescribed it "off-label" for something other than schizophrenia or psychosis. ...and also if I gonna take (Risperdal) for ever or what? The larger answer to your question is no. Many people, even those with schizophrenia, do not take medication forever, they only take it for as long as they find it to be helpful. However, depending on the laws of their country and even the attitudes and beliefs of their doctors, family and friends, some people may find that they are pressured or forced to take medication for longer than they feel is necessary or helpful. Therefore, there are two critical factors to consider. The first is, do you identify this medication as being helpful to you? The second is, are there any factors in place in your culture or country that would allow you to be forced to take medication against your will? Please consider that if you do decide to stop taking your medication, a slow withdrawal is generally recommended. It's also best to not attempt a withdrawal until you have alternate coping measures in place. Best of luck to you.
