Hi all,
Starting soon, I will be hosting a support chat for Schizophrenia & Psychosis. I'm not sure when but Doc John will let us know. I wanted to let you all know so you can think of topics you are interested in discussing live with other members. I am thinking of the following to start: *Medications and dealing with side effects *Accessing support--medical, social, psychiatric *Families and coping with schizophrenia *Dealing with government agencies *Advocacy *Protecting your rights/ignorance in the community/discrimination If you have a preference or another topic to add please let me know! We will have a dedicated topic(s) for each session at a regularly scheduled time.
Everyone will be invited to participate. Topics will be posted in advance so you can decide if you are interested in attending.

ah i am not sure i can actually make that first chat but i will try to
 this is a great idea. med support would be great and also could we perhaps cover communicating what you're going through to other people?

It's a shame the time difference between US and Finland is 7 hours. Sheesh!

we have a schizophrenic son, and hope we can attend some of these chats
we would particularly like advice about how to deal with him when he becomes extremely paranoid, as he can be dangerous then  advocacy & dealing with government agencies would also be most relevant the time may work ok for us, as we are at +14 now & +16 when we get the time changes
