Hello mazer,
It seems you arrived here with quite a full plate; bereavement, ptsd, etc. Obviously, there's quite a bit going on for you.

I'm curious to know what you think of the above? Can you identify any links between the events you describe and your current experience of stress? For example, that child you see -- is there any association between the child and your current grief? Or that evil, masculine voice you hear -- does that voice play any role in the trauma you went through?

I ask because for some people in some cultures, it's not considered unusual to have an experience of seeing the person who has passed on. In those cultures, people don't feel as strong a need to see a doctor because the behavior is considered an unusual but normal response to an intense emotional event (grief). By the same token, if a person has been through a traumatic experience they might experience flashbacks of the event. You might know if that voice has anything to do with any traumatic events as based on how you feel when you hear it, or perhaps, as based on what the voice says. In yet other instances, people can have experiences such as the ones you've described if they've not slept for a long period of time, or are having a bad reaction to recreational or prescribed drugs, i.e. the new stop-smoking drug, Champix/Chantix has been associated with hallucinatory experiences. So too have drugs such as ecstasy or cannabis.

Many people go through experiences like the above and they don't see a doctor because the experience itself didn't distress them. Other people see the doctor because they feel they should or because they've become upset by the experience. If you've been experimenting with drugs, you should probably set those explorations aside. If you recently began a new medication, it's possible there's a connection between the drug and your experiences that your doctor absolutely should be advised of.

You will have more insight into your experience than anyone else here. What do you feel you should do?

.

Hey, have you ever thought that maybe you have a phychic ability? Not all of that means your crazy, so don't worry. I, myself am phychic in ways. I hear and see things others cannot, and can feel and understand things outside our normal world. Its pretty spooky, but cool too.
Maybe this is what it is. Phycosis can have this effect, but this sounds more phychic than crazy.

Just a thought.....
