My new psychiatrist is making me take more Geodon, and I wasn't quite sure why.

I try it out.

All the things that comfort me are related to my disorder. Just little things. I notice them and I miss them. Anyone have anything like that? Or am I just weird?

hi rudi,
can you ask your doc why he upped them? my doc wanted me to go back on my meds, but i waited until the next time i saw him (i see him very often) to clarify why. we discussed it and in the end i am taking something different now.
why kind of things comfort you about your disorder? i don't think you're weird, i'm just not sure what things you are talking about .

I know he upped them because I told him I was still hallucinating and hearing things.

But the things that I still see are things I lived with my whole life. I was always a lonely person so I kind of felt comfortable for a being to be in my room, actually any room I'm in. I've had that hallucination since I was 5, and it was just comforting to me.

I used to be able to hear a song if I thought about it. No radio, just listening to the white noise and a song just comes out.

I cant see interesting shapes in the carpet anymore.

Just things like that.

I understand about missing things. I miss hearing angels sing and sometimes the white noise but my head is so much clearer now.

i dont think that's weird, rudi.

has the change in dosage helped you in other ways? maybe stopped the sights/sounds that you didn't want to be experiencing? sometimes it really is a toss up to see which makes you feel better - stopping the 'bad' symptoms, or missing the 'good' ones.
