Hello.
I was diagnosed 4 years ago with paranoid schizophrenia.I have a wife and two children, and I love them all very much. When I met my wife I didn't know that I have schizophrenia.I also have a "protected" job - I can't get fired, but if something happens to the company, I don't think I will be able to get another job.
I take risperidone, 1 mg/day.I used to take 3, then 2,and now 1.I also take spedra for sexual disfunction caused by risperidone.
I am usually happy, but I sometimes worry for my children, for the company, and I also worry that I might have a relapse one day.

Hello Gogu: I believe this is your first posted thread here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral.

Here are links to 2 articles, from PsychCentral's archives, one on the subject of living with schizophrenia & the other offering hints for family members of people living with schizophrenia:

Living with Schizophrenia

Helpful Hints about Schizophrenia for Family Members & Others

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.
