I don't know my boyfriend said if he didn't know me any better he would think I'm a rude ***** because I don't listen or pay attention when being spoken to. I however do and I try hard to follow along and when I talk I don't make any sense apparently. I think I make sense but people don't seem to understand me. As for the whole not paying attention thing I think I concentrate on certain aspects of the conversation, then I miss the point and no one wants to talk to me anymore. D;
I'm not a bad person I don't know I have this problem, I have trouble communicating so in place of words I've started making noises to express how I feel and I guess I throw out the signal of acting goofy when I shouldn't..
I don't know. All my life I've lacked friends and I continuously gain and lose them. My bf is my only friend left and I want to work on how to talk right to him , I've started to read out loud in hope my speech would improve and my thoughts would quit being scrambled. I'm not bilingual neither, I was born and raised in an english speaking home....

Hey The Bakery,

First can I ask?-- do you really bake? I like to bake and was just wondering.

as far as conversing-- I was wondering if you are in some kind of therapy? I've found a good therapist can help in directing how things go in conversing. At the beginning of a session the therapist I see will engage in some random conversing-- with practice, if you find a therapist like this, you may get better at it.
also, are you on any medication? sometimes meds can make thoughts scrambled and sometimes meds can help to unscramble..... just depends on the meds and the person.

I've lacked friends all my life too-- I know how that can feel for sure.... still don't have any(IRL)-- except my husband. However, the few online friends I have are very great.

Sometimes others don't understand, as they take what seems simple to them for granted-- some things aren't so simple to others.

I think it's great that you are trying so hard

best to you

fins

I sometimes get lost in others conversations, because they don't always make sense to me. Or, I feel the conversation is pointless. The only true friends I have are my husband and cat. The only time people really talk with me is when they wish to pick my brain and want to know an answer to something, that they know I would know, or can direct them toward where to find their answer. OOPS! Am I making sense or not?

I feel yall completely on that... I can hold a very objective or professional conversation but when it comes to personal or with people I know I tend to either get lost or confuse them to the point of extreme frustration for myself...

I have a hard time expressing my thoughts out of fear of embarrassment or rejection anyways but usually what results when I try is people looking at me funny because they dont understand the words or phrases or meanings behind them in the first place...
