Just curious what people are doing over the summer. I'm a teacher and haven't had a summer off in a long time. This year I only have 60 days from the last day of school for 80/09 and the first day for me to be back for 09/10. I'm hoping to take a day trip at least with all the other stuff I hoped to do around the house.

Anyone doing anything fun with the time?

Well I'm going to have my exam soon for 2nd year university statistics and then go on vacation with my family. The exact time and destination of course has not been fully decided (by that, I mean we've decided we want a vacation as usual just no clue where). Although while I'm doing this course I'm somewhat tutoring my friend in his course for physiology (meant to be a bit of help but I've realized that more than a bit is needed at times).

I've also decided that I may know what I want to change my program to. Currently it's double major bio and psych, minor chem but I want to change that minor chem to minor stats or just no minor at all. I'm probably going to buy some stats books and read them as I've realized statistics is a lot more fun than I expected.

What grade(s) and course(s) do you teach?

I'm almost finished my break actually. I'm taking a July-August class to finish my degree... blech.

I just generally do something to turn my mind to mush, since I use it too much otherwise.

I have a summer break, but it does not feel like it. I am actively looking for a job. That's like work right there. I could do any basic office or medical office job with a few years of experience but only worked as a volunteer. I am good with computers and data entry stuff. Just never been employed. I am still trying though. I have been posting my resumes on any job site that is local or what I can think of to send. No luck yet. But I'm not giving up. And no I am not just on here 24/7 just looking for jobs..but I am keeping a real good eye out. But yeah, I am glad summer is here as well. Pretty weather, and get to be outside doing things in the yard. I do hope you get a fun summer break as you are hoping. You have a wonderful day

Summer has been pretty dull this time around. I miss school and no work equals boredom.

I'm taking one 5 credit course. It's proved to be a lot of work and I'm looking forward to being done, even though it's not a bad course. I'm going on vacation August 22. Until then I'm pretty busy with work as summer is our busy season.
