I'll be going this Fall. I'm studying Psychology (my AA is in Psych., & my BA is in Deaf Services), & I'm debating on getting a second BA, taking the prereq. Psych. classes & applying for grad school, or getting both degrees. I know it would save time going for my MA. I hope to research, but am scared! I will be taking Careers in Psych. this Fall & maybe that will help decided if I still want to research or do something else in Psych.

I have mixed feelings about going back, but know I'm ready! I'm excited, scared, sad, & nervous. However, I've been wanting to go back for a year now. I've been out of college 5 years. I took an 8 week online Psych. class last Fall & did well. I enjoyed the class! I know for sure I want to work in mental health.

Congratulation! I got a second BA before I did graduate school and it was 30 years after my first BA :-) One thing that I would recommend is only concentrate on what you are doing right this moment; don't worry about your MA/MS until you've taken a few psych courses and are sure you want to apply when you apply; I did my whole second BA (history) and loved doing just that, didn't worry about graduate school or anything that would come after, figured I'd get to that starting point when I was ready.

That's great! Do you know yet what you plan to do? Just a little over a year left & you'll be done!

That's great! I sometimes am not yet sure if I want to go to grad school. It would be nice to do it, because I want to be a research psychologist & can do more if I go to grad school. I think, but maybe am wrong, that a lot of them (the research psychologists) have their PhDs. I'll be taking Careers in Psych. this Fall, so hopefully, that will help me. I must admit, I'm actually thinking now I want to try again to become a flight attendant or customer service agent with Southwest instead. I will still go to school, though. I think Psychology will be good if I become an FA or a CSA! Anyway, thanks, everyone!
