I just got a copy of my reading for one of my grad classes. I knew it was going to be a lot of reading, but this is crazy. By the third day of class I am supposed to have completed reading one of my textbooks completely. (Along with a list of other readings). I don't know how I will be able to do this for all my classes. Okay, have to go start reading.

If ALL your classes required this it would be a significant problem, but fortunately different classes require different amounts.

I discovered this handy little trick as an undergraduate of getting the reading lists and the textbooks as soon as they came out. That way... I could actually get the significant majority of the reading read (first pass anyway) before class started. I found I was much more able to retain the information on the second pass through. Sorry, this probably doesn't help terribly much now, but I guess it might help you plan ahead for the spring semester or next year.

Man oh man... glad I'm not in your shoes right now! That sounds terrible. I don't think I would ever be able to read that much! I'd have to never put the book down till your finished reading it. Read while your eating, read while online, read read read.
