I kinda have the same issues as you do. But I don't start my homework early unless it's an important one, nevertheless, I feel extremely bored when the school bell rang. It's like a note saying that : "boredom is starting ... be prepared!"

My school has a terrible curriculum and the students there are really immature. What about yours?

I'm the same way Three weeks into the school year, I already had 4 missing assignments, which meant I was failing one class. My grade went up when I got the papers in, but still. It freaks me out, because grades in high school matter. But I just can't bring myself to do the homework when I'm supposed to.

I hope you get some suggestions, I'm looking for some too

Sometimes I get overwhelmed just thinking about all the papers/projects/reading chapters I should be doing, even when the deadlines are far off and then they get closer and I still haven't made a dent in those assignments. That happens to me time and time again. Is this what you are describing, Ibmsx21?

Unfortunely I don't have a solution for you, or myself. But, I can tell you that I try to power through, read even when I feel so distractable that I could stare out my window at the wooden fence just few feet from it for hours. I try to get myself to start early and work often because with my distractability it's going to take me awhile.

Power through even when it's hard to do, you'll feel better once the assignment is turned in.

My motivation within the education system has taken a plummet as well. It's anticipation for a great day, a fresh start. Then it's realization that this day is most likely not going to be very much different from the last few hundred mundane days.

You've got to wonder why we must all be cranked through the stress mongering system while it vehemently teaches that everyone in the world is diverse and subject to their own special needs.

*sigh* Sometimes I wish I could go back to the time where it was perfectly acceptable for a young man to be perched on top of a tree, gazing off into the sunset...but wait, there's an essay due next morning .

Thanks for this!

I agree so much, Monsieur. My motivation is basically dead as well, and I will be dead once my parents get my report card. At least if I make C's, I can go to art school if I'm good enough. IF being the key word here.
