I went back to school April of 09. The program I am in is a 2 year on-line program where I will have my AA in Business when I graduate. I am in each class for 5 weeks then start another class. The only break I get is 2 weeks off for Christmas. I was doing really good, my gpa started at a 4.0 for the first 2 classes. It is now a 1.95. My graduation date was Feb 2011, and is now June 2011.
I can't seem to get my head in the game. It isn't that the classes are not of interest to me, I just don't do the work. I start the class telling myself that I will get a passing grade and that I can do it. By about the second week, I seem to get overwhelmed with all the writing that has to be done; and hit a wall. I am having to retake the courses that I fail, and that seems to have no impact on me. I do the same thing. I want to be in school, I want to succeed, I want to prove that I can finish school, I just don't know how.
I am starting my next class on the 5th, which is World Civ II, my second time for it. I have been thinking about dropping out, but that means having to repay my loans so much sooner. I am currently not working due to an injury, so I have no income. Any help is appreciated.

If you're going to UOP, you can take up to a 60 day leave of absence. That might help give you time to get things back in order.

It's going, not as well as I would like, but going. I am trying to get my paper wrote. I might be putting things on hold for awhile because I don't have the money to buy the books for my next class. Waiting to hear from my Academic Advisor to see if that will be possible. Thanks for asking.

Good luck. I brought a 1.8 average up to a 3.2 for graduation. It's possible.
