I am nearly at the end of the semester and I am trying to stay motivated but I am finding it hard. I have 2 papers that need to be written within a week and while I find them challenging and kind of interesting, I am frustrated because of all the other stuff that comes with the end of a semester. 3 finals to prepare for in addition to the papers.

Hello Dark Dreams,

Welcome to pc. I know what you are going through and you're at the tail end of a section. When that hits, it's easy to become overwhelmed with everything that you have to do and put the time and thought into a dissertatio as well.

But Imagine your pride and relief when you have completed everything and you can relax. When you have written your papers and as usual go over every word and think "Oooh! I shoulda wrote this or that". But it will be completed and done and over.

Wishing you luck, get fired up!

Hang in there Dark Dreams!!!! The end of the semester is always a little overwhelming. One way to feel more confident is to plan out a little study time and writing time for each subject every day. It helps me to make a list and check things off when I get them done because I feel like I accomplished something, even if it was just study math for 30 minutes. You can do this!!!

That is a tool I use for the students i work with which works brilliantly when working on most papers. However, I have a feeling this is going to be one of those things where when I get inspired I go full tilt till they are done. Got inspiration for one yesterday so I have a direction now so will write that oen later.

On the upside, I managed to register for one class for next semester but can't register forthe rest till tomorrow. I am looking forward to next semester....after i get a break

I am in almost the same situation as you (one less final though)! I'm also finding it super hard to focus. I don't know what the deal is! I feel overwhelmed and anxious and I think it's kind of keeping me from focusing...

I'm glad you're excited about your class next semester! As for now know that you're not alone in feeling a bit frustrated about all the craziness that happens at the end of the semester
Good luck!
