Hi, Xxemo=lifexX. Keep your mind distracted from thinking of your mental illnesses/medication/scars, and focus more on having a good time. Wear a nice and thin long sleeved shirt as well, preferably one that is your favorite if you can. Keep good, fun reading material with you or even an electrial device of some sort if you need a distraction.
If anyone says something that bothers you, walk away. Do not try to reason greatly with that person, even if one said something that bothered you unintentionally. Personally, I would like you to have an enjoyable time. Do not fret. ![]() |

Oh have fun, enjoy the moment!
For such sleep overs, I keep the meds in my toiletry bag or purse with bottle water inside and head to the bathroom, that way it is not as noticeable when I get them out to take them and can be private. Opaquemind0's idea of a light weight, long sleeve shirt and pants or shorts depending on what is most comfortable for you. If you have an mp3/ipod player or phone to take, that you can distract with should something come up or you need some space would be helpful; or a book even if you are a reader. Take sleeping things and pillows that are most comfortable and even a snack/bar you enjoy in case you need something more substantial with your meds or if you need to or if you get hungry in the night. I hope you have a wonderful time. The nice thing about mental illness is that it isn't always as obvious as we feel it is. Don't worry and just a have a good time! ![]() |
