Wondering if anyone out there is cramming all this info at the same time I am o.O

Figured we could at least help each other. I just finished my 2nd 6 week term. Took my final on A&P, Airway, Trauma Pt Assessment, Communication and Documentation.

Next week I start Hemorrhage and Shock and then we're learning IV's before I go on my clinicals on the 6th.

SO WHO OUT DER IS WITH MEH? >__>

I took classes to become a medic and also joined the army to become a medic. It's a stressful thing to do because you have peoples lives in your hands. Good luck. Oh, and, I found it to be a very rewarding experience.

I was a paramedic in the early 1980's and taught paramedic classes 1991-92. Now I am a critical care RN and when a patient crashes I have support people just moments away. It really is a test to be in the field when a patient is critical and you only have radio contact with physicians. I absolutely loved being a paramedic but it was really hard on my knees.

Let us know how classes go. I miss the excitement of EMS sometimes.

Not in EMT/Paramedic school, but in nursing school. It sounds slightly similar in the amount of work/studying required, and in the fact that lives are in our hands too. Wish you the best!
