I sat down to figure out exactly where credits fit and how long it will be until I can graduate; for me it is 2 years after this summer. It's nice to have an end with a date now. Who's to say life won't happen in between but the goal is there. Meantime just trying to get through, one class at a time, as they just keep coming. I wondered if it helps anyone else with their goals to know what their end is for graduation and having it in sight.

What date are you aiming for, at this point, as you move toward your goals?

I use to do that but then the "next" thing would come along and not be easier than school

I changed my major so many times that it felt like I would never graduate. Then about 3-4 semesters before graduation I was putting all my classes in order and saw that it would actually be OVER! I thought maybe it would do the opposite of help. Like if I saw how close I was I just wouldn't care anymore. But luckily that wasn't the case. Maybe because I knew I was going to grad school afterwards so there wasn't any room to slack?

It's so much hype for the 10 seconds of walking across a stage and shaking a few hands but it's totally worth it. (then again I haven't had to start paying loan back yet haha). My mom has my diploma at her house I think. But now I'm in grad school and after my masters is finished it's PhD time so my final graduation will most likely not be until 2016 or so.
Thanks for this!

I am planning to transfer into the BSW (bachelor of social work) in 2012, so would finish in 2015. I will probably do the one-year masters as well, though possibly work in between.

If everything goes according to plan, I'll graduate with my BSW (Bachelor's in Social Work) in May of 2013. I'm not sure about my master's yet, so I'm just taking it one degree at a time lol.

I have to do an internship for a year next year for school counseling. I'm very concerned if I will be able to complete the internship.

Many times an internship can be a welcome relief from studying and from the stresses of classes. It is something new and a change but you might actually find it to be easier than you think. Wishing you good luck with it!!!!

depressed - I would also like to add that sometimes internships can be a great way to get your foot in the door for a career. It's an awesome way to network and usually a lot of fun. Go in there with a good attitude and you'll walk away with good experiences. Same goes for going in with an awesome attitude
