I have been thinking of what to do with my life. I don't know what I want to be. I depend on other people to tell me what to do. I can't really be a carer because I can't socialise well. I can talk to people. When I was cleaning, someone came in and I didn't feel scared and I said hello. I know I can socialise. I failed my work placement because I didn't talk much.
Here's my qualities: (What job do you think I should do?)
I don't mind doing office work as well. |

Aren't you in college? Most universities have a career counseling center that has many resources to help you explore what careers might be a good match for you. Check to see if something like that is available to you.

Not really. I'm not sure if they have a career counselling here but on Friday I am going to this thing which will help me decide what work I want to do and hopefully will help me. I did go to college to study health and social care. But I failed my work placement. So that put me down with what I want to do.

Do check to see if you can get hold of some career inventories. I know some schools offer them to students. One classic one, I think probably still used, compares how alike someone is to people who are successful in different fields.....

Here's a link to one university's interest inventories. If you google career interest inventories, you'll find many to choose from. |
