It's currently almost 12 in the afternoon and I took the day off college and I'm still in bed. I have school work to do but I don't want to get up and do it. I've felt like this so much lately and I can't snap out of it. It's like a combination of fear of how hard the work is and me probably being a lazy d-bag. I want to snap out of this but I just can't.
Thanks for this!

I can really relate to your post, so I know how frustrating it feels. One thing I tried yesterday that worked was, I set a really small goal for myself regarding school work. I told myself that I would do 10 minutes of homework. Before I knew it, I had done an hour! Maybe the fact that it was such an achievable goal made it easier to accomplish? I'm not sure. Either way, I'm going to keep trying to set these small goals for myself.

I hope you find something that works for you, to get that pesky school stuff done. Keeping you in my thoughts!
Thanks for this!

Glad to hear you were able to get it done!

BTW, have you gone to a school counselor to share some of your frustrations? Maybe he/she could be of help as well.
Thanks for this!

We don't have one. Our college partnered with another and many things haven't been sorted out yet between the 2 campuses. We don't have a counselor or chaplain and our sports budgets are all messed up. I guess these are "non essential" at the moment.

Congratulations on finishing your work, Denis! I feel divding up tasks is a smart idea, like melissa.recovering posted. Also, diving right into your work will probably end up with you getting more than expected done. Best of luck in college. Stay well and strong!

Post-script: Believe me, such words like "lazy d-bag" may only make you feel worse! Think well about yourself.
Thanks for this!

When I am having trouble with something too big or scary, I "play" around it until I can find a piece of it that I understand and can use as a beginning or until I have done so much playing that my brain is saturated for the moment and I know more than I think I know (and can do some of the "actual" work/writing/problems).
