I've been given a full scholarship and the requirements of the scholarship is do my internship with a few agency that coincide with the grant. The agencies are great and I wouldn't mind working for them. Then there are other grants which wasn't given to me and the agencies is actually my strongest interest for my career. What does this mean? Is it not meant for me to work in that particular field then? Is it a sign from Life that child welfare is not meant for me? I have a BA in social work and in a few years I'll have my MA in rehabilitation counselling.

I've been given the grant where I'll work in the field with helping people with physical and mental disabilities to help them become independent in their lives such as employment, independent living and education.

The 2nd grant will be working with homelessness, substance addition, family crisis centers, those that just came out of jail/prison, mentoring teenagers, foster care and gang violence.

I look at the 2nd grant and how I wish I was given that chance to work with that particular population. I was always interested to work in child welfare.

What ever happens in this life you just have to believe that it is for a reason and it turned out exactly the way it was supposed to. That doesn't mean how ever that you should not try everything you can to succeed in what you want. Is it a sign? I don't know, but it is up to you to try even harder and find out.
