The end of school is coming up soon, I want to give a thank you card to one of the advisers at my school, but I'm too scared. I just want her to know how much I appreciate her help and how she's made my school life better because of the things she's done... but I don't know if that is appropriate?
What do you think?

you will never go wrong with a nice thank you note. hand write it...don't type it out on the computer.
get into the habit..it will help you out in the long run...youy go for a job interview...send a nice note..even if you don't get the job...it will be the thing that keeps your name in their head..& someday they might just need someone & your name will pop ahead of all the otehrs. |

many years ago i worked with 16 - 18 yr olds and little things like thank you cards from the kids were always so special...it would be nice for your adviser to know she's made a difference for you...just my opinion.

You can never go wrong with a nice, simple thank you note. Handwritten as mentioned. It shows our appreciation and lets others know when they have done something special that we appreciate. I just got done writing some myself for some professors who wrote letters of recommendations for me for a scholarship. It is something they didn't have to do, and I wanted to let them know how very much their thoughfulness and kindness meant that that they did. You never know how people touch you otherwise, it can mean a lot.
