Hi- I hav the most horrible time beginning hw. I hav ADHD and I am currently on 80mg of strattera. I usually set out to do it, get distracted, and end up doing something else. Or I sit down to do it, look at it, get overwhelmed at what to do first, and end up not doing anything. Is there any advice on getting started on a task? Thx!

I find that breaking any task into chunks helps. Say you were doing the dishes, which I really need to do, you could consider the whole task or you could break it into chunks such as fill the sink with soapy water. I find tasks become easier this way. When I am really out of it, I write out all the steps and cross them off as I've completed them. I use it for my depression, but I would think it would work for ADHD too.

Breaking things into smaller chunks sounds like a good idea. Have you considered that your medicine is not working like it should, though?

I have recently found this to be an issue when it wasn't last year. I got an easy assignment, write 25 random things about yourself. I totally freaked out at the number 25. I had to go by 5's until it was done. I totally understand where you are coming from, I hope it gets better.
