I am a college student coming of an extremely poor semester for me and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to have confidence when heading into the next semester? |

Have you analyzed why the semester didn't work out? I changed majors (semester before my senior year :-) and made my previous major my minor, went to summer school, etc. to rearrange my life/thinking off a really bad 6 months.

Honestly, try your best, and ask help when you need it...If you try your best, there's nothing to be upset about. Doing your best is good enough.

I hope I can encourage you.
1. Last semester is over and done with--unless you choose to keep beating up on yourself about it. Years ago, Satchel Paige, a black professional baseball pitcher, was successful well into his forties. Asked why he was so effective, he replied, "I don't ever look back. Somebody might be gaining on me." 2. I flunked out in my second year of college. I joined the Army and returned a few years later to re-enroll. By the age of 30 I had earned three degrees and people began to address me as "Professor". 3. Think positive thoughts. Socialize with positive people; stay away from negative thinkers. Visit occasionally with the teachers you most admire. Have a good time, but remember why you are in school. And, of course, eat right and get the rest and exercise you need. And, don't skip class. Best wishes. |
