The spring semester I am taking 14 units, 5 classes though one class is only 2-days. I am lucky enough that I got into all the classes I wanted and it only took a few minutes to register. I haven't taken this many units before.

This semester I took 3 classes, 8 units and had a part-time job on campus. My classes were all on one day which meant I had a lot of spare time and I didn't do a lot of my work. With my new schedule it will be Monday/Wednesday so it will be more spread out and I'll have a better time frame to do homework.

My classes are:

Natural Resource Management: Wildland Trees and Shrubs which has a lot of memorizing plant types.

English 1A which is the highest English placement

Speech 1A: Public Speaking

Media 10: Film Appreciation

And a 2-day class that prepares me to work at the horse therapy facility I am enrolled in.

I feel like I can take 14 units if I work hard enough, but this semester I did not do very well because I had too much free time. I also have to fit in a part-time job as well, which makes me nervous because I have a hard time excelling at work and I am usually exhausted afterwards. I am also heavily reliant on my computer and social media, which I will have to set aside if I want to excel in my classes.

I guess this is a roundabout way of asking, how do I manage taking on these classes and excelling in them?

it sounds like you answered it in your own post. you need to provide yourself with the structure necessary to study and do your homework and put social media secondary to your studies and your job. good luck
