I made a thread before about starting college again in the fall but that didn't work out due to my schedule and financial reasons; however, I will be starting this upcoming spring. I'll be taking my classes online either through a state universities distance learning program, or a community college's system. I haven't decided yet. I'm only going to be taking classes part time, so I don't overwhelm myself. I'm going for an associates degree for right now. I think that would be a major accomplishment for me, I would be so proud of myself if I can do it. I think this will be my thread where I update how college is going etc, once it starts I'm really looking forward to it, I feel like I'm ready. This will make me feel like I'm getting somewhere in life, even if I can't handle a job yet, which I'm working on. At least I have this.

That sounds great! I've taken a lot of online classes, and they're really awesome. The pace is a lot better, and it's less stressful than having to find the time to go to two or three classes every week.
Thanks for this!

Correction: WHEN you do it

Everyone has to go at their own pace. I'm going for my associates right now, taking two out of three classes online. The third I didn't have a choice, I needed a science course with a lab. I know exactly what you're feeling --- I finally feel ready and feel like I'm making something of my life.
Thanks for this!

I would recommend, that you pick an online program that has good "classroom" discussions and does not just have you working wholly on your own. It is much harder for me to stay on track if I cannot interact with others (like on here) and express my ideas and read what others are thinking, etc. That can be really helpful getting the "bigger view" for tests and stuff and getting help along the way if you do not understand something.

The one I picked has a program online, it's basically like a forum where the enrolled students and teachers can interact on discussions. I agree that it would be very helpful rather than just being on my own
